Our Purpose

Public information is split among several custodians. The Ashe County Sheriff's Office keeps county detention and booking material, NC SAVAN and VINELink report custody events, North Carolina courts keep case outcomes, and NCDAC covers state custody or supervision. This site organizes links and explains those differences. It does not hold official records, confirm custody, release anyone, file a request, or give legal advice.

How Sources Are Chosen

Official county and state sources come first. Ashe Sheriff contact pages, the monthly News archive, NC SAVAN, NCDAC, and the North Carolina Judicial Branch are used for their proper roles. Outside resources may be discussed only with a clear warning that they are not authoritative. An arrest is an accusation, not a conviction, and a court disposition must be checked separately.

Independent Ownership

No government office sponsors, approves, or operates this site. We cannot alter a Sheriff's report, correct a court file, answer for VINELink, or promise that a linked service is complete. Records and custody status can change after publication.
